... accident that allows me to see another version of myself. If there is no means of connecting with such a universe, I will enjoy it as a wonderful piece of fiction that allows me to consider the idea that I can be someone different from who I am. I might be able to change, in some microscopic way, my universe, as Kirk told Mirror Spock he could do.

Your discussion of Star Trek is interesting. Q is omnipotent, but Picard rejected the idea of him being God. I'm also ecstatic when anyone brings up City on the Edge of Forever. At least I assume that was the time travel episode you meant. There are others. String Theory seems to suggest some 14 dimensions I believe. The problem is there is no way to test it. The idea of a multiverse is intriguing. I just don't know what to do with it. I'm unlikely to wind up in a bizarre transporter...
